Do you winterize units or do service work on location in campgrounds?
We do go to several local and some distant campgrounds within our area. Most repairs can be completed in the campground, but some do require your unit to be brought in. Please contact our service department to determine if we are able to come to your campground to do repairs and what the service call fee is for your area.

How do I know if my vehicle can tow the RV I want?
Each vehicle has a ‘weight’ or ‘tow’ rating. These ratings are determined by the vehicle manufacturer each year and are true for all towing conditions. The rating of a particular vehicle can depend on the equipment variations available on the vehicle. Some information that may be needed to determine the tow rating of your vehicle is:
a. Engine (example: 6.0L or V8)
b. 2 Wheel vs. 4 Wheel Drive (2x4 or 4x4)
c. Cab and/or Box Size on Pick-up Trucks (example: Crew Cab and 5.9 Box)
d. Gear Ratio-this can be found on the components under the vehicle, on the window sticker or by calling a service department and providing them the VIN number
e. Tow Package
Once your tow rating is determined, we can help you to consider campers that are towable by your vehicle. Each camper has an Unloaded Vehicle Weight Rating (UVWR), a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), and a Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC=GVWR-UVWR). You do not want the GVWR of the camper to exceed the tow rating of the vehicle.
Example: Your tow vehicle has a Tow Rating of 7,800 lbs. and the camper you love has a GVWR of 7,200 lbs. You may be able to tow this camper.
Contact us and we will help you determine the tow rating of your vehicle and find an RV that is appropriate for your vehicle and perfect for you!

How do I sanitize my fresh water system?
Sanitation of your potable water system is recommended for a new system, one that has not been used for a period of time, or one that may have become contaminated.
Directions:
a. Prepare a chlorine solution using one gallon of water and ¼ cup of household bleach (5% Sodium Hypochlorite solution). With tank empty, pour chlorine solution into tank. Use one gallon of solution for each 15 gallons of tank capacity
b. Complete filling of tank with fresh water. Open each faucet and drain cock until all air has been released from the pipes and entire system is filled.
c. Allow to stand for three hours.
d. Drain and flush with potable fresh water.
e. If desirable, any excessive chlorine taste or odor which might remain may be removed by filling the tank with a solution of one part vinegar to twenty parts water and allowing this solution to remain in the tank for several days.
f. Drain tank and flush with potable water.

What type of general maintenance should I do to protect my investment?
Several things may be recommended for general maintenance. They may include, but are not limited to brake checks, lug nut checks, and sealant checks. Like a house or a vehicle, the general maintenance you do will show in the years to come. Checking your sealants regularly to ensure that there is no cracking or breakdown that may allow for water damage is very important. You should consult your owner’s manual for maintenance instructions for your particular unit or call our service department and book an appointment for a general maintenance check-up.

Do you sell RV's on consignment?
Yes, we do sell RV’s on consignment. We charge a percentage of the selling price and an inspection fee. This inspection fee covers the prep and systems check that lets the purchaser know all is in working order and helps to encourage the sale.
When putting an RV on consignment, we must prepare a consignment contract between yourself and us, giving us the right to sell it on your behalf and we must keep the title or a copy of the title on premise and available for inspection. If you are interested in placing a camper on consignment, please contact us for current rates and we will also help you determine a good asking price.
